There are several ways to add fresh food to your dog’s meals:

Full Meal

Replace your dog’s current food with a complete serving of Bubba’s Bowl.

50/50 Mixed Diet

Serve half Bubba’s Bowl and half of your dog’s current food.

20% Topper

Replace 20% of your dog’s current meal with Bubba’s Bowl.

10% Topper

Replace 10% of the current meal with Bubba’s Bowl. This is an easy starting point for dogs trying fresh food for the first time.

The topper and mixed-diet options can also create a gradual path toward full meals:

10% topper → 20% topper → 50/50 mixed diet → full Bubba’s Bowl meal

Introducing a new food gradually gives your dog’s digestive system time to adjust. The

American Kennel Club recommends transitioning over approximately five to seven days, although some dogs may need more time.

You can review the AKC’s suggested transition schedule here: How to Change Your Dog’s Food

Whichever option you choose, remember to replace part of the existing meal rather than simply adding more food. That helps keep your dog’s total daily calories where they belong.

Fresh food can be the whole bowl, half the bowl or the very best part on top. 🐶
